I grew up on a mixed farm near Bruno, Saskatchewan where I was exposed to grain farming, horses, purebred dairy and beef cattle, chickens, and pigs.

In 2019, I retired after a 35-year career as a Federal civil servant.

During my tenure I worked as a meat inspector, beef and pork grader and later a supervisor for the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) at Cargill Foods in High River. The last 14 years of my career were in Human Resources at the CFIA and later the National Energy Board.

I still have an interest in country life as I retain a small parcel of land and a few purebred Black Angus with my brother in Northern Saskatchewan. As I prepared for retirement I started a video business which now includes volunteering as the photographer/videographer for the Medicine Hat Cowboy Poetry Foundation.

I feel that it is important that we preserve the western, cowboy, and country way of life.
